American Airlines App Reviews

This app has never worked on my watch and I keep hoping the next update will fix the bug. Still no luck, Im hoping you figure this out soon.

This is incredibly frustrating, and you end up just using the website instead. Save yourself the aggravation.

What is the point of having an app if everything is through an in app web browser?? Honestly the only positive of this app is ability to check flight info. Other than that, just go to aa.com in your browser and save yourself space on your phone. Worst part about it all is AA bought another company that had a good app and removed it.

This app could certainly be improved with native booking within the app-- not directing me to the mobile page. Also, implementing standby and same day flight change features would be extremely helpful. As an AAdvantage elite member, I would also appreciate seeing the upgrade list at a time period greater than 4 hours before departure!

I didnt think anything could be more frustrating to use than AAs mobile website. Then I tried their app.

I love American Airlines! As a frequent standby flyer I really wish their app would feature a standby list like US Airways had on their website before the merger.... It would be such a wonderful tool! Thank you!

If you cant put out a usable app, please pull it from the store until it is ready. Registration is terrible. Didnt give errors when birthdate was missing because I didnt click OK. Sometimes you click next. Sometimes you click OK. Why is a birthday year in the future an option??? Tickets were purchased in my wifes name but could only see her boarding pass even though we checked in on our respective phones. Look at Deltas app. They werent great at first but they are pretty good now.

This app is garbage. Doesnt show my reservations. Have to go to website. Why do I need a record locator when I have a resv. Total junk.

...because the calendar doesnt work. And the website wont work either on your phone. Both try to make the calendar a pop-up, which never loads.

This app is useless. It locks up every time I click the calendar to put a date to fly, and there is no other way to enter the date.

Keeps crashing. When it was working functionality not great. United app way ahead of this.

Terrible and useless application. It wont let you book trips with miles, and even to cash in some miles its forcing me to sign up for some points program and use that. I basically couldnt accomplish either of the two things I really needed to without a computer.

I went to Seattle from jax fl and It was perfect it got me where I needed to be. It let me know the boarding time and was always up to date.

Currently, the universal aspect of this app just demonstrates a waste of developers time. If youre going to make an iPad app, at least pull out the stops like giving AA fleet information or destination information like a delta does with their "Fly Delta" stand alone app.

Downloaded for a recent trip and the app is almost unusable. Wouldnt pull up my reservation, and the website is just as bad. Wouldnt allow me to add my boarding pass to Apple wallet. Skip the app!

Given the apps available from other airlines, this really is a poor excuse for an app. It is slow, crashes regularly, and has very few native features without sending you to the mobile website. I only use this to see if there is a flight delay (which seems to be very frequent since the merger with AA). No wonder my status with AA has gone down and am now executive platinum with delta.

Terrible all

When checking in via the app and hitting the "boarding pass" button, I got a success message for being added to the upgrade list. 100% certain I did not touch the upgrade button I would not want to waste 2 of the ridiculous 500 mile vouchers on a 545 mile commuter jet fight.

I read one good review so I thought I try it. When it gets to your birthday information it keeps changing to April no matter what I put. I wasnt able to complete my information correctly, it seems it has its own answers lol!

Whats the point? The app let me check-in, but when I clicked on the boarding pass link it just showed an error message saying that my mobile boarding pass was currently unavailable. Ive never experienced this from Delta or United. Not sure if this is an app problem or an AA problem, either way, makes the app kind of pointless for me.
