Cant view mobile boarding pass?!

Whats the point? The app let me check-in, but when I clicked on the boarding pass link it just showed an error message saying that my mobile boarding pass was currently unavailable. Ive never experienced this from Delta or United. Not sure if this is an app problem or an AA problem, either way, makes the app kind of pointless for me.
